Here's an interesting video I found during my daily paranormal wanderings. The author claims it shows a residual ghost train passing by as they investigate a wooded area. Here's the link to the video:

Thoughts anyone?  ;D

I think the questions posed by the reviewer are valid.  Also, I understand the setting predisposes us to want to call it a train, but other than the fact that it goes by really quickly, what about it actually looks anything like a train?

What do these investigators know about the conductors who operated the train that used to run through that area eighty years ago?  Was there some train accident or tragedy on that spot?  If someone was mowed down by a speeding train, perhaps the impact (honestly, no pun intended) of that on their death might inspire them to replay the incident in a residual loop, in which only the front end of the approaching train remained in memory.  But now, I'm making up the folklore to rationalize the phenomenon instead of just letting it speak for itself, and it's not saying much of anything that's compelling at the moment.

Also, the idea of a ghost train or ghost ship is rather the stuff of Scooby Doo and maritime legends, don't you think?  If there were a spirit entity connected to the train, that might be worth considering, but why would a train or any other mechanized object bother to turn into a ghost if it has neither will nor "soul" nor motivation?  In other words, I'm incredulous that machines can leave spectral imprints, residual or not.

It's something but I don't think it a ghost train.
