Can't seem to embed this video, but I saw this clip quite some time ago and thought it was intriguing.

Looks like it's the reflection of something passing by outside like a car or something that would cast a light.  I don't think it's paranormal.

Thanks for posting this video

I'm inclined to agree with Tracy.  It moves so smoothly.  And I don't recognize an arm in it, to be honest.

What's haunted for sure, though, are Edgar's eyes.  That man is grieving fiercely for his late mother-in-law.  It's a lovely story, though, as old as human culture, itself:  our ancestral spirits watching out for us, becoming our guardian "angels."

Of course, it raises an essential problem:  if our loved ones are looking out for us in the afterlife, can we consider them to be neglectful if bad things happen to us under their watch?  Or, are they altogether ineffectual in the physical world, and merely acting on instinct in the metaphysical realm?  Do some spirits "wander" somnambulantly?  Edgar mentions that she used to get up at night and meander, so I'm wondering if she was either a sleepwalker or suffering from dimentia.

If she was a kind and caring maternal presence in Edgar's life and the life of his grandchildren, then is her ghost a distillation of her true nature?  Can spirits choose what they become, or are they branded by the traits and values they had while alive?

Sorry.  I'm waxing philosophical today.

That mother in law looks damn scary to me. ;D
If it is anything, I would say it is a residual haunt.
Sounds interesting...Go on.

If that is someone's mother-in-law, she's very short.

:D It's the ghost of Zelda Rubenstein!

Tim, I agree.  If it is for real, it seems like an automatic, sleepwalking kind of thing.  Not sure, though, if an alleged floating arm is proof enough of an identity.
