Saw this video on you tube and thought it would make an interesting topic of discussion. It's been around for about a year now. Has anybody seen it?

I have not seen this clip.
I'm not conviced of it being real.
If it is, will someone please help the person come out of the closet.
;D

This seems staged to me. First, the timing. I could imagine if the guy set the camera up over night and let it run. But to have the event happen within seconds of saying, "Nothing so far" just seems pre-arranged. Second, the image on the door just looks too cool to be real. I was also surprised at how much color there was to the image as opposed to the rest of the image around it. Edited maybe? If this isn't staged, then it's the best paranormal evidence I have ever seen. However, I would prefer to know and evaluate the source before I'd be willing to grant that kind of credibility.

Actually, I was watching all these Mabel / Pantry Ghost videos the other night, and wanted to know your opinions of it as well. I was watching them at like 3 AM in total darkness and kinda freaked myself out pretty well. Check out the attic video; that one still makes me uneasy.

These videos are connected to some sort of film project. It puts itself forward as a documentary, but I'm not sure if it's a gimmick, a parody, the real deal, or simply a hoax. The documentary was scheduled to be released last month, but there's no word on that, and the production company website was out of commission as of the other day.

Yeah, the more I look at these videos, the more convinced I am that it's simply a hoax and a gimmick.

Look at this second video and compare it to the first one Brian M posted.

It's a different day, different camera angle, different people, but same phenomenon. It's clearly a parlor trick. Just because you can't see the strings doesn't mean they aren't there. The face and hands appear in the door the exact same way (hands first, face second, even the timing is almost exact), the door opens the exact same way, the camera examines the pantry without making a complete examination of the entire interior of the pantry (just as in the first video), and of course, in my opinion, the people involved react the exact same way and those reactions seem scripted (i.e. they don't freak out like most people would but show just enough fright to add to the tension without embarassing themselves by screaming like little girls). Besides all that, my gut just tells me it's staged (but don't rely on my gut too much. It also tells me that it wants one of those hamburgers from Carl's Jr. with jalapenos all over the top. To make a long story short, my gut doesn't always give good advise  :-\).

I don't mind if someone wants to do a ghost version of the "Blaire Witch Project," but don't put stamps all over it that read "Real Ghosts" or describe it as being truthful when it is nothing more than fiction.

OMG!!
THERE IS ADVIL AND DRIED OATMEAL ON THE SHELVES IN THE FIRST CLIP
THEN THERE'S NOTHING ON THE SHELVES IN THE SECOND CLIP!
Do you know what this means?

That ghost has lived in that closet eating dried oatmeal and having headaches
and now wants out because there is nothing left in the closet......

I love it.
I want to see the one where they catch the ghost in the pantry and pull off the mask.
"ZOINKS! It's Old Man Macgrath!"
"I would have gotten away with it too if it handn't for those meddling kids and their dog."

"Ghost gets angry" is the one that freaks me out the most. Even though it's probably fake, you never want some crazy shit popping out of the dark at you like that. Happens at the very end of the video.

There's one where he's playing hide and seek with Arriana, and sees her around the corner of the dresser. He says "I see you" or something like that, but then the bundle of blankets on the bed starts laughing, and it turns out that's where his daughter is hiding. I seem to remember that he never got a good shot of the broad side of the dresser, so there could well have been a little actress hiding back there, but I don't recall. Not sure which video it was but it's in the videos list for this user.

In one video it says the house is in San Diego and John was the skeptic but in another it said they were in Sacramento and John (the same person) answered the door.
