Let's talk about "Battery Drain."

First, have any of you had this happen?

I was thinking about this a lot at work today and wanted to talk about it some.  I think many cases of "battery drain" are people who thought they charged something up, or knew they forgot to charge it and didn't want to look stupid.  However, let's talk about legitimate Battery Drain (BD) where an entity pulls the power to use that energy in some fashion.

I always find it odd when on GH for example BD happens in a normal house, I mean out in a cave or a powerless castle ok, the entity is taking what it can.  However, why suck from a meager little battery when you have a wall outlet right there.  Is it a foreign ghost who forgot his adaptor or what?  Lot's of power sources around, yet the camera or recorder get's hit.  What if it truly is an "intelligent haunt" and sucks that power because it doesn't want to be recorded or filmed?  That's a tangent though.

Let's keep going with the theory that for some reason batteries are more palatable as a power source, that is why they are targetted.  So why not REALLY feed it then?  Next time BD happens, bring in a Car Battery, give it some real power to work with.

I know there are a lot of theories about positive and negative ions and such, they tie into the BD theory as a means to manifest.  I just find it odd that if for some reason Batteries are such a tasty choice of energy, people don't cater to this.

So who at PPI want's to be the guy with the car battery in his backpack?

Not me; a car battery is just a bit too much for me to carry!  ;D

Ask anyone on the team and they will tell you I am usually loaded with equipment, so much so that I rattle and clank. But the battery drain issue is certainly interesting. I have personally experienced it only a couple of times. Our confidentiality agreement with our clients prohibit us from disclosing any background information, but let it suffice to say that each time I experienced battery drain one of our team members picked up something anomalous. We captured an awesome EVP in a private residence where I experienced not only my camcorder battery drain suddenly, but my digital still camera and my wrist watch! Still scratching my head over that one.  ;D

Makes you wonder what would have happened if you had a big ass battery like a car battery there.

A car battery! Yikes ! :o
I've actually brought a lil bucket of batteries out with me a few times.
Having that exact same idea/thought...to "Feed" anything that needed help manifesting.
We tested the batteries afterward tho' and they were still fully charged.
Guess the ghosties weren't hungry. :(

Hmmm it seems that since you have already demonstrated your willingness to carry a bucket of batteries, a car battery seems the next logical step.  Don't worry though, Brian and Karl are some clever fellas, I'm sure they can invent some contraption that will allow you to carry the car battery without much (disclaimer: the term much is entirely subjective and may vary based upon individual experiances) discomfort.

Awfully nice to volunteer like that Shelly  :P

car battery! thats great.  perhaps someone could bring one with the INTENT for the entity to draw power from it.
