Hi, Everyone.  Lauren Kasak of Lumia Paranormal Research Services sent out this invitation recently to a paranormal conference she is helping to organize.  Lauren used to be on the PPI team and departed to start her own group back in 2008.  Her take on the paranormal is very academic and credible, and her organization has done a lot of good research, primary and secondary--the links to which are available on her website.  She's an upstanding paranormal investigator, and regardless of your opinions of some of the visiting lecturers, I think this will prove to be a groundbreaking conference.  Best of all, if you live in the San Diego area, the conference is coming to you.

Here's Lauren's invitation:

Sounds interesting. If my schedule permits I would really like to attend.  :)

I think this would be great to attend as a group. I'll set aside that date on my calendar.

Yes, this does sound fun!!  I think it would be great if we all did this together!   :)

An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself!

Ouch. We can always ask lots of questions to make the speakers earn their speaking fee.  ;D

We have over $800.00 in our Treasury.  A conference is one of many ideal uses of Treasury money, and $75.00 is actually pretty cheap--if there's a lunch.  (Is there?  I'm just asking.  I don't really know.)

Maybe we can address this at the next meeting.  I'm not raising this idea passive aggressively, either.  I'd be willing to pay for my way out of my own money.  I'm just putting it out there 'cause I suspect some of you are pondering the idea anyway.

That's a great idea, Karl. I am also willing to pay my own way. Will it be cheaper if I bow out of the Berkley Ghost Hunt? I have no interest in investigating at the Embarcadero.

I'm also okay with just paying my $75 or using treasury funds, either way.

There's plenty of time to save up. I'll just buy cheaper toilet paper and bread and user lower octane gas in my car  ;)

I'd be willing to pay my own way as well.  Yeah, I concur with what Brian said......leave me out the Berkley (faux) Ghost Hunt.
