I received the following message on MySpace. Anyone interested? To be honest I know nothing about this place, but I'm sure someone would be willing to google it.

Hi There!

The Historic Granada Theater in Ontario, California has been pleased recently to offer historical tours of our building, but as more and more paranormal teams have visited us, we found our 60-90 minute format was great for the casual visitor, but not for people interested in delving into our paranormal activity. With that in mind, we've decided to offer longer investigations for serious teams.

If your team might be interested in visiting the Granada, please visit www. freewebs. com/investigategranada for more information.

Hope to see you soon!

Hey Glenn,

I'm totally interested  ;D As long as we can do this at least several weeks out (Give me time to set up my schedule) I'm sure I can go.

Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

Bummer. Their My Space site is private. You must be added as their friend before you can view it.  :-\

I'm not sure that I want to pay to investigate a place, but the Whaley House charges for access after hours and is a lot closer to home.  :D
Here is the standard admission for investigating the so-called "famous" Granada Theater:

Come experience the Historic Granada Theater
The Historic Granada Theater in Ontario California is currently hosting various bands and other events, including tours.  But the usual tours aren't necessarily geared towards paranormal investigators.  As word has spread about the theater and the activity people are experiencing here we have been getting more and more requests from teams to come and investigate.  To that end, we have decided to branch out from the usual tour format, which really doesn't allow for any significant investigation time in one place, and usually only last an hour.

We have a basic investigation that is four hours long, with unrestricted access to the Emmons Building and the Granada Theater.   One of our guides will give you a brief introduction to the theater and as much of the history as you want to know beforehand (we appreciate some groups want to know as little as possible in order to validate their evidence), and then set you loose.

We currently offer any night of the week except Sunday.  The basic investigations run from 10pm to 2am.

We have an overnight investigation option as well. The overnight investigation begins at 10:00pm and runs until 7:00am on Fridays and 9:00pm through 6:00am on Saturdays.  You have full access to the theater and adjacent building, one or two guides to make sure everything runs smoothly and to let you in wherever you want to explore, and the overnight investigation includes a continental breakfast of coffee, juice, and pastries and muffins to make the drive home a little easier!

The Granada is also available for special occasions, private parties, and training sessions.  Call for rates for these kind of events.

Donations
For a basic 4 hour investigation, we ask for the following donation:

$25 per person for groups of 1 to 4 people; $20 per person for groups of 5 to 10.

For the overnight investigation, it's $75 per person.

The Guides who will introduce you to the Granada are volunteers and all monies collected go directly to restoring the Granada and keeping her open and operational for people to experience and enjoy.

Oh well,
On to the next location.
I'm not interested in paying however, the continental breakfest is tempting.
I wonder if they have grape jelly? Smuckers grape jelly.
Sounds interesting...Go on.

PPI Jason

Yikes,

I didn't realize there were so many places wanting to fleece paranormal investigators.

On the one hand you could think of it this way: the cost to investigate the Whaley house or the Grand Theater is probably less then a Charger game and a hot dog.

On the other hand you could think of it this way: we could each donate $75 to the group, buy around $750 worth of equipment that could be used over and over again, and still have enough left over for the most expensive combo at Wienerschnitzel  :D.

I guess it's all about values.

LOL!

The corporations like to use the buzz word "value added".  ;D

It's a bummer that they are charging "admission", but they are probably using it as a revenue stream to keep their theater running.
