Hey Guys,
I came across a story about a mass disappearence.
Here is the link

What do you think what happened to them?
Are they any recent cases of something like this happening?

I have always been fascinated by this story. But the answer to this mystery is in the first paragraph of the article:

The final group disappeared after a period of three years elapsed without supplies from England, leading to the continuing mystery known as "The Lost Colony."

The principal hypothesis is that the colonists were absorbed by one of the local indigenous populations. There is an ongoing DNA study going on now to determine if there is any scientific evidence of this hypothesis, as a large nubmer of the surnames of the known colonists exists in among these native people. Also, scientists studying tree-ring data discovered that the colonists settled the area during the worst drought in 800 years. With no supplies, unfriendly natives surrounding and attacking them, and all the environmental stresses, the colonists never had a chance.

did you guys ever see the show the 2400.  This show was about a mass disappearences through out time. One little girl was taken at the age of 8 in the 1920's others also from other times as well.  They all get dumped back on earth and the same time.
They all have special powers.  The reason for the mass disappearence because future humans needed them to make them stronger and have special powers so they could come back and breed with us modern day humans a produce super humans.
They did this so we could not or will not die out in the future.  It was cool.  netflix the series.

My sister recorded the series on DVD for me, but I've never been able to watch them. I will have to make the time over the holidays.  ;D
