I keep running across links to stories about regional paranormal groups conducting investigations, and thought it would make a cool thread. Post any links to stories about paranormal groups in the news here:

Yeah, the Ouija board speaks volumes about their investigative technique (or lack thereof).  ;D Totally metaphysical and non-scientific, and totally contrary to my own personal beliefs about paranormal investigation.

The SacBee recently ran an article about API's investigation of the Saint George Hotel in Volcano, CA. This will be the site of "Ghost Rush" paranormal conference where our very own Dave Walters and Britt Griffith will be featured speakers:

Ok, sorry to hear that. Sometimes the SacBee can be a little too political for some people's tastes. So here's an article from The Daily Iberian about a recent investigation conducted by Louisiana Spirits. This one's entitled No Explanation: Ghost Hunters Hear Voice On Tape.

Oh yeah, be sure to check out the comments from readers of this online article.

The New England based Enfield Paranormal Society claims to have proof that the Cohassat, MA Town Hall is haunted. There is a link to their DVR footage that shows a door slowly close apparently of its own accord. Here's the link to Boston's Channel 7 news:  http://www3.whdh.com/news/articles/local/BO72507/

Thoughts anyone?

It took me a bit to figure out exactly what it was I was watching.  It looks like a video of the video. Not great quality.

Anyway, often doors like that in commercial buildings are on those big heavy duty hinges that you can prop open at the top.  Depending how much slack you have in the hinge depends on how fast it closes and how long it takes to close.  To me it just looks like a regular occurrence.  Abet a delayed one, but I doubt it was paranormal.  Too bad the film isn't any better.

Agreed. They should have offered the TV station the footage from their surveillance camera instead of just a video of their LCD monitor.  :)

Next time, they might want to check to make sure things are ship shape before it is seen on television and or the internet.

I have two words for those guys....SPELL CHECK!

Kind of hard to take an organization seriously, if what they release to the media makes its way into the newspapers and onto the internet with typos everywhere.   :-\

Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.  I think I will be "closeing" for now.  ::)

Ah yes, another offering for this thread; Here's an article from Jackson County, Florida regarding a group of ghost hunters investigating a local historical site:
