pretty good video, can't tell if it's real or fake. Apparently, her twin sister died weeks earlier.

I doubt it's real. I can't put my finger on it since I don't know much about video editing and all that new fangled computer stuff, but it is her reflection frozen in the mirror. It's not as though something appeared out of nowhere.

Fake, I say... ? ;D

Perhaps if the video did not conveniently change to slow-motion at that critical moment it would be easier to determine if the still image in in the mirror was pasted into the frame. It's an interesting effect, and kind of disturbing, but I think it's just that... an effect.

I admit that I would have second thoughts if there was motion behind the still image of the little girl's reflection in the mirror, or if the reflection in the mirror itself moved. But because the image in the mirror does not move, I am compelled to say it's a fake.

Eerie.
I've seen that one before. Reports say it is fake.
Good fake. Amazing with what you can do with images these days.
It left me? feeling oogie.

Yeah, it's one of those Queen Mary moments....you can't believe it....then all of a sudden you know why...because it's fake. The image does freeze in the mirror.

I agree that its fake but the image does not freeze, because if you watch carefully the girl in the mirror blinks.

Cute kid, but the video's a fake.  Fake, fake, fake, fake, fake!  The image isn't actually freezing in the mirror; rather, it's very slowly reversing.  If you watch carefully, the girl blinks just after turning to face the mirror, and then, when she turns toward the camera, the reflection slowly begins running the same blink in reverse.  Here's a comparative screen capture of both blinks.  Same exact angles in both instances; not a whit of difference.  Note too the added thickness of the mirror's edge (in the red oval).  I'm not sure, but to me it seems like an artifact of "patching in" the image as a special effect. I'll admit, I don't know the first thing about how it was accomplished technically.  (Does anyone know how difficult it would be to do this with amateur video?)  But shame on any news agency that would report it as authentic!

It's just the kind of spooky thing I'd have expected to see in a sequel to Hideo Nakata's Dark Water.  (With a first name like "Hideo", how can you go wrong making horror films?!)

It looks to me like a cut & paste job. The lines around the head in the mirror are to sharp. Not blended very well.

Yeah Karl, quit turning everyone on!!!

What can I say?  Maybe monitoring crotches and ass cracks on infrared camera for two hours just brings it out.  ???:o;D

I'm sorry had I know that camera was filming what it was I would not have shown you my ass crack.

Hey Everyone,

Yes, I agree... there IS motion in the reflected image in the mirror. If I had a monitor with better resolution I would have seen it the first time. But like Karl observed, the motion REVERSES. And like Holly observed, the edges around the head look too clean. Add it all up, and what do you get? A good FAKE movie worthy of posting on the internet.
