Do you really think she respects these guys? Is she working with them? Why is she pushing their show? Can't they pedal their own show?
The most erroneous stories are those we think we know best - and therefore never scrutinize or question.

That was video from Goldfield, NV. I'd love to investigate that place!

I really like Donna because of the original GH show. But how can she sit there with a straight face when Maury plays that clip of the "Extreme" ghost hunters screaming like extreme wussies?  :)

exactly....all of you are right...what is going on with this? I realize it is an older clip, but why did she do it at all?

If you are going to go on a talk show, at least pick someone whose whole gravytrain isn't based on pregnant teens/teens that beat up their parents/teens that sleep with thier mother's boyfriends/father's girlfiends/who's the baby-daddy?/etc etc.  He is nothing but an ambulance chaser anyway and her appearing on that show took her down several pegs at least.

This must have been quite an exicting move from the norm for him.  Maybe there was no white trash available that day.  (oh, man...I say the darndest things)

I never believed that brick thing for a second.  I don't know what exactly it was, maybe the way it moved.  I just never bought it.
The fact that Maury had someone who was never connected with the group talking about the evidence lessens the credibility of both Donna and Ghost Adventurers for me.
There's a picture shown in the begining of that clip, its a bridge were some guy sis standing and a supposed "apparition" is seen furhter down the bridge.  There have been several discussions about that picture.  Most people agreed it was just someone else down the bridge or a double exposure.
Publicity is good for this field, but its also killing us.  So many groups and investigators are SOOOOO eager to have their 15 minutes of fame that they'll put anything out there as evidence or go on a talk show to talk about someone else's evidence.

ttjoon

I watched that brick thing quite a few times and I couldn't figure out how they did it.  Normally, if stuff like that happens, it is NEVER captured on camera.  This time it appeared that the camera was just pointed in that direction "by chance".  Do you think there is even a shred of validity to it?

With the Donna thing being on Maury to talk about Ghost Adventures.....the dots just don't connect.  She isn't even involved with that show.  Did anyone see the entire show?  Was that clip just a part of it and did she talk at all about GH or GHI?  Don't know when that Maury episode was filmed (pre GHI or post GHI).

There was a physics instructor who did a whole thing on the brick moving.  He was explaing how the movement of the brick "didn't fit" to how a brick should have moved in a situation like that.  Of course, how does anyone know how a brick should move in a situation like that.  He did some experiments were he attatched a brick to different types of wire and made it move.  He had the wire attactched to different pullys and such.  He actually got the brick to move in that same pattern as the one on the show.  It was almost identical.    Of course being reproducable doesn't mean fake, just adds a question.
There was also something in the speed of the brick.  It just didn't seem right.

I'm with you one hundred percent on this.  It was suspicious from the word "go."  We ran a thread about the show when it aired.

I'm annoyed that their "Screaming Mimi" act gets them off the hook of having to investigate the phenomena immediately afterward. That's the lamest and oldest trick in the book.  Now we'll never know whether or not someone was running a styrofoam brick across a bit of fishing line (which is what I think it was).

Are the two guys that do the show bonafied investigators with a good track record in the field or did they just crawl out of the woodwork for 14.5 minutes of fame?  What is their background?  You would think that if someone has been in this field for a long time and really was proven to have integrity, their evidence would be a little easier to take with something other than a grain of salt.  I have only seen one or two shows at the most and don't know if it is an ongoing production.  So many things are at once difficult to disprove and just as difficult to prove at the same time.  When everything is said and done, I do find it hard to believe.  It would be phenomenal if it was the real deal, but sadly it is just probably the work of some string and faux brick.

PPI Karl

No, I don't think their backgrounds are anything special, and I don't know much about how experienced they are as paranormal investigators.  I do have to question anyone who would try to brand themselves as practicing "extreme paranormal investigating" (never mind the hyper-serious, hyper-masculine image they're desperate to convey).  It sounds awfully reminiscent of Jackass

I just know that the lead investigator wouldn't last five minutes among us without being thrown out on his ear.

a styrofoam brick!  I have been trying for the longest time to figure out why I had a problem with that brick.  A styrofoam brick explains it perfectly.  Its all so clear now!

I just read that Donna LaCroix, Brian Harnois and Andy have their own group they seem to have renamed to "The Project"  back in Oct. 2007.  There's a myspace page for it that has been abandoned. .  Isn't that the crew from GHI pretty much?  I just checked out Donna LaCroix's myspace page and latest blog says that Ghost Hunters International will be back for another season but no air date announced yet.

A styrofoam brick is a great possibility of an explanation but through the vector imaging, wouldn't a line show up or if a foam brick launched with air pressure, we should see some form of air release, dust and other things move... possibly why the board behind the brick also moved...   this video of the flying brick is tough to debunk and also tough to accept as concrete evidence.  Goes into the, I guess you had to be there, category of evidence in my opinion.  ;)

I'm watching some back to back reruns of Ghost Hunters on SciFi right now which reminded me... and wanted to pass onto you since you're into ghost shows, Ghost Hunters International will be back for another season according to Donna LaCroix's myspace blog.
