Spectacular Coronal Mass Ejection

This October 1, 2011 coronal mass ejection occurred coincidentally shortly after a comet was said to have broken up and impacted on the sun.  Scientists later vociferously discounted the possibility of an insignificant comet impact creating this degree of solar activity.  The video, though, is still pretty astounding:
