Here is an article from the Telegraph documenting a very strange case of a man in Indonesia with a rare genetic disorder. I wonder if some of the reports of "monsters" could be explained by humans and animals with genetic disorders?

It's amazing that something as simple as vitamin A helps so much.  I really hope they can help him get that under control.  How terrible!

Thanks for the update, glad he is getting better.
200 years ago, our communication over computers would have been deemed magical and we all would have been burned at the stake.  200 years from now, explanations for what we call Paranormal will be in Science Textbooks.

This is by far the most humbling line: "He has also become a sudoko addict now medics have cut growths from his hands allowing him to hold a pen."

I just saw the re-airing of the documentary recently.  I'm glad to know he decided to receive the full treatment.

It is truly humbling. I hope they can help this poor man. I can't imagine how much he has suffered with this terrible affliction.
