I saw this image on Ghoststudy.com and thought it was pretty cool.

They write, "This photo was taken at my grandmother's house about a year ago in Williamsburg VA. I was setting up her new computer and had taken a test pic with the quickcam that came with it. I saved the file in an attempt to show my grandmother how to use the computer (saving files and stuff). I really didn't see what was in the picture until two weeks ago when I was installing some new software. What do you think it is? The evening that this picture was taken, my grandmothers neighbor passed away from natural causes."

What do you think... real or fake?   ???

That's a good one. Oogie factor of five.
That place must have some interesting history.
Either that or it is a classic door stain.

I'm going to say "fake" on this one.  I copied the image and enlarged it to study Ms. Spook on the door.  Two things suggest that it's been doctored.  First, the figure is a repeated, overlapped image.  (Graphic artists and amateur Photoshop users alike will know what the tell-tale signs of a "painting" are; this looks like someone "painted" the space with an image.)  Second, where in the room does the small insert image (below) come from?  Any guesses?  Would you say, perhaps, the couch?  Go back up and have a look at the original image, then scroll down for the answer.

It's actually the face on the door, inverted and adjusted for contrast.  Can you feel the spook factor wearing off? :D

I'm not entirely sure I buy that just yet though Karl. Granted, it is an AWESOME conclusion...but the picture quality is pretty bad anyhow..and those patterns show up all over the photo. There's even very light magenta bars that go accross pretty much everything. I'm not saying it's real, but I'm sticking to my "I can't tell" answer.

The amorphous "Sally Fields" physiognomy (a flip hairstyle and a button nose) also shows up in the features just above the door.

I'm just undecided on this pic. It's just creepy. I'm swaying more towards the fake side rather than the undecided side...but I have to remain undecided for my 25% doubt.

PPI Karl

Y' old softy. :D

I do agree, though:  fake or not, it's got that startle factor about it, like when you realize someone's standing in the shadows staring at you.

Iam not sure. I am still new at this. It did creep me out at first. I think fake.
