It has long been rumored that Alabama's Old Capitol City of Cahawba was haunted. Once a year the gates to the pre-Civil War site are opened for visitors, and often paranormal investigators are along for the ride to test for the ghosts believed to be present in the slave quarters, the plantation house and the cemetery.
