Dr. Coral Hull relates many of her experiences with an ephemeral presence she refers to as "The Hat Man," "The Dark Man" or "The Shadow Man" and wonders "Who is The Hat Man and what does he want?" The question also appears to haunt Dr. Hull's mother, who has experienced the same phenomena Dr. Hull describes as following her from home to home.
