It's got "Abbott & Costello" written all over it.

It also shows how much the power of suggestion creates the conditions for the "ghostliness" of this alleged apparition.  Why does anyone actually believe the figure walks transparently in front of the cross instead of solidly behind it, for goodness sake?!  Anyway, it smells of a hoax, right down to the creepy skulking.
If you want to end your misery, start enjoying it, because there's nothing the universe begrudges more than our enjoyment.
