Has a large assortment of apparitions, images, faces and other "unexplained" images. This had been circulating a while and there's 5 parts, about 30 minutes worth of different footage.  As far as I can tell, all theirfootage comes out of Japan.

Any opinions on any of different pieces of footage?

Hi johnny!
Well, I've seen all the st.birgitta vids and the thing that bothers me even more than their videos is this:
The video author is the webmaster/mistress for a religious website.  Now that in itself disturbs me primarily because :
a)  They are posting these vids as "proof" of their religious message (Go to www.saintbirgitta.com and you'll see what I mean.)
b)  Their religious message is a seriously heretical (from an Eastern Orthodox/Catholic point of view) one which sort of distorts their credibility in terms of their philosophy.  That in itself leads me to doubt the veracity of the content of ANY of their vids.

Now I really have no problems with religious people having visions, or mystical experiences.  What I have a problem with is when they promote these types of things as proof of their particular brand of "Christianity".  The world is full of people who are spouting all sorts of stuff as "Christian" and frankly, unless they can show me their theology degree from a noted Catholic or Orthodox seminary, I am not taking their word for anything.

Also using scare tactics to convince people of the alleged "truth" of their "Christianity" is seriously suspect to those of us who are actually serious about theology.
I think the vids in the st. birgitta collection are all fakes for various reasons:  all can be explained with trick photography, photographic "errors" (lighting, dust, etc.) .  I think some of them are flat out, staged "lies" also known as hoaxes.
I love the one where the "demon" is supposedly rattling a door ---I can see a key inserted in the lock of the knob and it wouldn't be hard to use the movement of the door to obscure a string.

I agree, they have some sort of religious message and use shady pieces of evidence and if this were an advertisement, it is definitely not aimed at the skeptic.  In fact, so much of the footage is explainable it's really a futile exercise :) A lot of the footage is based on visual reflections and matrixing it seems. I had seen that door knob rattling one somewhere before.
