Here's a link to a very interesting video on YouTube. This video was produced by the American Association of EVP, and highlights some EVP captures by the founders of the Big Circle.

Hi Kristen,

Yes, I also thought it was very touching. Although I personally disagree with the use of EVP for coping with grief, I have to admit that it can be a source of comfort for those who are mentally strong enough to deal with it.

I totally agree.  Some of the mothers seemed very dependent on them, which to me was slightly disturbing.  I see the comfort and closing that comes from "hearing from beyond."  With the way these women were so attached, I begin to wonder what will happen if the communication ceases...

How is this particular type of EVP done? Do they put their computers on record and just record for hours at a time or do they ask questions looking for interaction? I didn't really see them address their methods.

The Big Circle conducts their EVP sessions on alternate Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. worldwide. There is a list of names published online that they ask people to focus on during this time period, and they leave the technique up to the individual participants; they can ask questions, or just remain silent. If anybody captures possible EVP during their session, they are encouraged to share them over the AAEVP's forums.
