As we approach the fall (and the Halloween season) Ghosts and Haunts become more prominent in the local news. The UK is no exception. Here is a detailed list of famous haunts by major city:

That was an awesome article, Johnny. However, I'm not sure about the whole "certified EVP specialist" title that Kim Travis is boasting about in the article.

Thanks for sharing that with us.  :)

Yeah.  She might be an "EVP Specialist" and "Certified" but not used in the same sentence.  Speaking of sentences, she sure has a way with words:

"It's a rad place. You can definitely feel stuff. ... "

Sheer poetry.  :-\

I'm sorry but anytime I hear someone saying they're 'certified' it sends up a big red flag. How can someone be certified in a subject that hasn't been proven? It's like saying someone is a certified warp-drive specialist. I do like his quote though... "It?s a rad place" - like, totaly, dude! He may have had some sort of 'training' in the use of audio filtering software, but that doesn't make one an EVP specialist.

Cool, thanks for reading the article.  Hehe, yeah...   the Certified EVP Specialist label is something, since you've mentioned it, I did a little searching on the web and surprised to find a lot of information on these "classes" and "trainings" one can take to become a "certified EVP Specialist".  And guess what, the lady's name who is mentioned in the article popped up first on google about her radio show/blog. Hmmmm..... :)

I found this article on the web about a recent investigation conducted by Upstate Paranormal of an old Civil War era home near Glendale Mill and thought I would share it with our PPI family:

I found this article from the Winchester Star during my daily paranormal wanderings and thought I would share it with you all: Ghostwatchers Search Theater for Signs of Spectral Activities

I also found this article entitled: Ghost Hunters Visit Forsyth Inn and thought it too was worthy of sharing. This article from GA channel 13 WMAZ even has a video:

For those who may remember seeing The Paranomal Task Force on the Booth Brothers "documentary" Children of the Grave (you know those paranormal guys who ghost hunt in paramilitary clothes), they are conducting a course entitled "Missouri Haunts: Ghost Stories and Ghost Hunting in Missouri" from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 18th at the Sikeston Career and Technology Center.

Here's an article I stumbled across regarding a Texas paranormal group investigating an old mansion that used to be owned by a blues musician. Imagine the potential EVPs that could be captured there.  ;D

I ran across this article about a teenager who claims "something followed him home" from a weekend camping trip, and now they have been experiencing some negative acitivity in their home.

This sounds like a great case to investigate:

Yeah, the commute would suck. I would rather have a legitimate poltergeist case in town.  ;D

Found this on the web and thought it was worth sharing:

A team of paranormal researchers, intrigued by an apparent ghost picture taken the Blairadam Woods, went to the scene of the photo to investigate further. Now, they have more questions than answers. What did they see? More importantly, what did their dog see?

The city of York, UK is staking its claim to the most haunted city in the world. Astrologer Jonathan Cainer is planning a citywide Halloween night event with paranormal investigators all over the city waiting to investigate any paranormal claims that occur. Will they find enough evidence to once, and for all, settle the debate of most haunted?

:D I nearly pissed my pants over that!  Instead, I just threw up some questions.   :-X  I feel better now.

Am I missing something, or is this actually a news article about nothing?

LOL!  I had this image of the Most Haunted crew with . . . (wait for it) . . .  equipment in their hands, trying to figure out how to record their own farts with it.  (I wish I were joking about that.)

When I read that article and saw the group's name, "Full Moon Investigations", my mind immediately conjured up cheeks instead of a hunk o' cheese, hanging in space.  I had to make a joke out of that name somehow.

I don't know Brian,
This story sounds like it can't hold its water
and neither can the people who live there needing to pee in the middle of the night.
No one is fessing up and admitting that they are a bed wetter.
This could be a job for DESTINATION TRUTH!
Sounds interesting...Go on.

Then you're sure to enjoy this next article that appeared in the Chicago Tribune:

I have a theory about the orbs...  ;D

Rockledge Ranch, built on the edge of Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, CO, was visited by the Pure Paranormal research team. Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) recordings supposedly indicate ghostly presences during the investigation. What generated the "voices" recorded by Pure Paranormal? With photo gallery and video.

The Middleboro, MA, town hall has been examined for the second time by a paranormal investigations team. And for the second time, selectmen have been told the building is haunted. What evidence did Enfield Paranormal Society of Enfield, CT, give to selectmen in backing their claims? Here's a link to the article:

The Florida based Peace River Ghost Trackers are headed for St. Augustine and the Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum because they think "There's definitely something in there, (a)nd it's not very nice." Is something evil haunting the 19th Century building where one of the world's strangest museums makes its home?
