Ever been followed home?

My apologies if you've seen this thread before elsewhere.  I'm just trying to get as diverse array of opinions as I can.

My co-worker thinks her home is haunted.  A bunch of us wanted to go to her place and do some investigating.  However, I've heard of the possibility of entities following investigators home.  This will be my first time doing any sort of investigating.  I'm extremely curious and open-minded, but my wife would FLIP (freak out, and then be PISSED at me) if anything followed me home and started messing with her.

1) Has anything ever followed you home from an investigation?
2) If so, are there any preventive measures you can take/activities to avoid to keep anything paranormal from coming home with me?
3) Are certain types of hauntings more likely to follow you home than others?  (i.e. poltergeists, residuals, apparitions, shadows, etc).

Here's some details about the place:
-elderly bitter woman passed away prior to current home-owners moving in.
-activity includes:  shadowy figure seen standing in bedroom & bathroom, all drawers/microwave/oven opened without readily available explanation, dog going crazy for no apparent reason.
-activity began upon remodeling of the home.

I really want to go, but not if it puts my own family at risk.  Please help!  your input would be greatly appreciated!

TAPS Jen

Since there really no "experts" when it comes to the paranormal, we can only give you what we have found to have worked for us or what we believe to be true.

Luckily, I've never had anything follow me home. I've done a lot of reading on the matter and some things that are suggested are

Firmly state that no one is allowed to follow you home
Visualize a white light surrounding you (can also be used as a form of psychic protection)
If you are religious at all, carry a symbol of your faith. Certain stones such as turquoise or jet are also thought to provide protection.
Do not hold a seance or use a Ouija board - you just don't know who or what you may speak to
Do not remove any objects from the area

If it is a residual haunting, it doesn't even know you're there - it's just replaying a scene from it's life. If it is the former owner, I don't think she would leave a place she is so attached to. Events such as remodeling can trigger activity.

If you have any concerns or doubts, call in a reputable team. The TAPS website has a list of Family members that can help. You should not be charged for this help.

I hope this helps a bit. Good Luck!

Is it creepy to want something to fallow you home?  lol. NO FOR REAL!
