I'm going to the Queen Mary this Sunday for a private investigation.  We'll have a few hours to go wherever we want on the ship.  Does anyone know of hotspots other than the pool and engine room?  Thanks in advance!

I had a really bizarre experience right outside the propeller box.

I was at the QM with my aunt and my daughter several years ago.  It was during the day on a weekday and pretty quiet for the most part. We were wandering around trying to find the pool.  We were under deck down below where some of the engines are and we wound up totally lost.  No one was around but then we see this lady walking toward us from way down the hallway.  She is dressed in khaki shorts, shirt, boots and has a clipboard with her.  She also had a nametag but I don't remember what it said.  Anyway, she looked like she worked there and asked us if we needed help.  We told her we were looking for the pool.  She smiled and pointed to a black curtain and then said that what we were looking for was right there.  We thanked her and walked behind the curtain.  What we walked into was this room where the side of the ship was visible and the water was lit up from below so you could see the massive propeller.  Well, it scared the living crap out of all of us.  I've got a fear of massive buildings and structures so what I was seeing absolutely terrified me.  My daughter reacted the same way which really shocked me.

It couldn't have been more than 10 seconds, (if that) and I stormed back out and was going to ask this woman why the hell she did that.  There was no one there.  The hallway had a metal floor as it all does down there and it was also in the middle of this long hallway.  There is no way within just those few seconds that she could have gotten down to either end and out of there.  We had heard her footsteps when she walked up to us because of the heavy boots she was wearing.  If she had walked away, we would have heard her.

We were so mad that someone could play a trick on us like that.  What made me really angry is that my daughter (who was 6 at the time) was more terrified than I was and she was shaking.  Anyway, I went to complain to the management.  I described her and told them what her nametag said.  They looked at me like I was nuts.  They said they didn't have anyone working there that was dressed like that or holding a clipboard.  They checked in their computer and called another sr. manager and that person confirmed that there was no one working there by that name.  To this day, I have no idea who or what we saw.  I remember running down the end of that hallway to try and find the person.  To no avail.  My daughter and I still talk about it and wonder.

So, for a possible ghost with a clipboard...there's always the Propeller Box!   {8I
