Hey, i'm in santa barbara, ventura is a hop and skip away.  I'd be interested as soon as I get my hands on some equipment, Richard Senate is located out of Oxnard or something and I've read somewhere that he claims there's places in Ventura and Santa Barbara that are active.  I was actually considering taking one of his Santa Barbara Mission tour and hunt.

I'm also in Santa Barbara (as of June 7th... I am moving from Costa Mesa, CA) and I am looking to join some people wanting to investigate.

Cool, I think we connected on the Santa Barbara Parnormal group site. We'll talk there. Seems there's a few people interested enough to set up a meet up at a coffee shop or restaurant.  Will try to get something together soon. Like in the next month and take it from there. Trying to get the other two to be active is truly a challenge. :)

i'll replace that image with a person friendly image soon...  i guess it would be a good idea with the new contacts.

I sent a message back to you about IR cams. There's a good thread on here about IR cams and what the folks at PPI have found to work well in particular sized rooms and such.  This place is a plethora of information.  Of course, even with out set cams, an investigation could be done fairly well the old fashioned way with a video camera, a digital voice recorder, digital thermometer and EMF meter/KII meter.
