That's to bad, I always liked him.
200 years ago, our communication over computers would have been deemed magical and we all would have been burned at the stake.  200 years from now, explanations for what we call Paranormal will be in Science Textbooks.

Loved George Carlin.  And, I'm so very sad he's gone.  He gave me some serious laughs in the 70's.  Loved the seven words you don't say on TV and especially the Hippy Dippy Weatherman and his closing forecast.  I think I have one of his LPs.  I'll have to drag it out and give a listen.

I remember hearing George Carlin for the first time in the late 70's.  My all time favorites that he did were:

-Ice Box Man
-A Place for Your Stuff

When I hear those routines, I still laugh so hard that I cry.  I think a lot of people will be doing a little of both today.  We truly lost a great comedian and a man who had a most unique way of looking at the world.  He made a career out of sharing his quirky views with us, and along with that, he also gave us one of the greatest gifts :  Laughter and the ability, if only for a moment or two, to take life a little less seriously.  Rest in peace, George.

I was totally surprised to hear that George Carlin had passed away. I enjoyed his sarcasm and his wit, and his stand up routines were freaking hillarious. He will be profoundly missed...

I'm deeply saddened that he is gone.  I remember buying his book "Napalm and Silly Putty" and reading it in one sitting.  There is something to be said for someone who has no fear of telling it how it is and making it funny.

Oh man, I can't believe that he's gone. See this is what happens when I go on vacation, people die. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Yes, George was great. There has been a recent surge in YouTube postings of his stand up routines. Here's one that only has a few bad words... It's about Soft Language: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h67k9eEw9AY
