Here's a topic you don't see in the Washington Daily Post very often: It's entitled "Ritual of Dealing With Demons Undergoes a Revival. Here's the link:

The first sentence/caption alone is priceless.....somehow this article makes me think of the word cult....

QuoteHe said priests at the institute realized they needed an exorcist on staff after encountering an increase in people plagued by evil.

Ok, I could say a lot here, but how in the heck do you know for sure that they are "plagued by evil?"

QuoteExorcists said they are careful not to treat people suffering from mental illness, and that they regularly consult with psychologists and physicians. At the same time, they said, conventional medical therapy often neglects spiritual ailments.

So how do you tell the difference between being "plagued by evil" and mentally ill?  I'd like to see that anlaysis.  So medical therapy neglects the spirit, but yoga (basically meditation, aligned with breathing and specific movements) makes a person more susceptable to evil?  I understand these people are Catholic but c'mon.  This article basically sums up that people who are not practicing Catholics are possesed by evil, as well as some Catholics...sounds like we are going back in time here, adn not in a good way.

What's next, Yogi burnings?

Gee, Kristen... can't you tell when people are "plagued by evil" as opposed to "inconvenienced by evil" or "vexed by evil"?  :)

Just kidding. That's a vague phrase if I've ever heard one.

To be frank, all of the quotes from the priests are vague in this article...
