Here's a recent article about an investigation of a private residence that will be conducted by the Greater Pittsburgh Paranormal Society: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/s_558758.html

Interesting note: one of their investigators is a fire fighter, and they regularly check for Carbon Monoxide while conducting their baselines.

Well, I don't know that I would call Derek Acorah a "Paranormal Investigator", but here's an article about one of Derek's upcoming investigations:

While undertaking my daily paranormal journey through the internet I stumbled across this very surprising headline: Paranormal Investigation Groups are Gaining in Popularity.  ;D Wow, I had no idea.

Here's a link to the NBC Channel 4 Website from Columbus Ohio: http://www.nbc4i.com/midwest/cmh/news.apx.-content-articles-CMH-2008-05-11-0005.html

A few weeks ago I read a news story about two young ghost hunters were in a park where there was supposed activity and came across the bones and carcass of a woman that was murdered in the park. Wish I could find that link.  But looks like more reality based ghost hunting shows may be coming up, this is in the news:

Darke County Ghost Hunters negotiate TV deal
"We're in the process of negotiating a TV deal with TLC (The Learning Channel)," said Dave Reed, founder of the Darke County Ghost Hunters. Reed said the station, that airs mostly reality-based shows, contacted them about doing a two week documentary about hauntings in Darke County. The group is currently reviewing the contract with their attorney.

"The documentary will be called 'Darke County Haunting'," he said.
Heaven won't take me and hell's afraid I'll take over.

Here's a recent article about a haunted pub entitled: Fancy a Spirit with your Pint?

http://www.wirralglobe.co.uk/display.var.2346171.0.fancy_a_spirit_with_your_pint.php

I wish I would have known about places like this last month when I was in the UK. I really wanted to check out some of the local "haunts". Maybe next time.

I agree with you, Kristen. I guess that's the risk of getting publicity in this field.  ;D

Here's another article I found regarding a paranormal team called Kissimmee Paranormal Investigations and one of their recent investigations of an alleged haunted club in Florida:

Ahh....but is it truly JUST a game?  I know I had an experience with one some years ago that is seared into my memory forever. You couldn't PAY me enough greenbacks to even have one enter my house, let alone "play" with one.  No thanks.

TAPS Jen

I agree w. you  - definitely not just a game. Granted it's my own experience and opinion - but I don't need more than that.

Whether it's greenbacks, pounds, eros, yen or Monopoly money, no amount would be worth inviting something in that you might not be able to get rid of.

I agree with you 100%  (about your comment and that it was a lame finance joke).

I ran across this article the other day and thought it was worthy of sharing with our PPI family:

The Paranormal Investigators of Henderson Kentucky (PIHK) recently investigated a museum ship on the Ohio river. There is also a video to go along with the article.

Thanks, Brian, for posting this.  I have this feeling Penn & Teller would have field day with these guys.  This is a good example of when to let the article stand on its own merit and NOT insist on being videotaped.
