People are speculating if this is an disembodies spirit, or an orb. Any thoughts?

{Would some please embed this? I tried at least 6 times. I apologize for not "getting it".  :-[  }

Hi Debra,

To embed a youtube video click the "embed" button and it will give you a vey long script of code. Use the "insert flash" button in the forum text editor window, and copy the long "embed" script in between the flash html code indicators. The only part you need to keep is the part that is contained within the quotation marks i.e. "http://filename" . You will notice there's a part of the filename labeled /embed/ -- you need to replace the word embed with the letter v -- and then the video will be embedded. If these instructions don't make any sense, I will show you on the computer at our next meeting.  :)

My initial impression is that it was a light object that is being driven by the air displaced by the tsunami. The video resolution makes it hard to determine whether it's a piece of debris or perhaps a terrified bird taking flight. Interesting video, regardless. Thank you for sharing that with us.  :)

Thanks Brian, I did it all except the letter v.

I'm not entirely convinced that it's the same object all the way through the video.  There's a point at which it seems--to me, anyways--that it comes to rest and begins sinking, and another object like it is then lifted up and buffeted back back the winds.  So much destruction going on and so much force of water that nylon bags and other lightweight objects are bound to become airborne as they are caught in the wake of the currents.  Spirits, though--I dunno.  Magic 8-Ball says . . . . . . . "Maybe not."

Thanks for posting this, Debra.  It's actually a pretty interesting phenomenon when you look at it from this vantage point.

I just looked at the video on YouTube and expanded to full-screen.  I think it might be a bird, actually--one that's periodically looking for places to land, then takes flight again.  Granted, birds can be kind of alien sometimes.

I'm thinking that it is a cat jumping on the debris. Because the cat is going against the flow of the tsunami, it is making look faster then is seems.

Upon further review I'm convinced it's a bird. If you watch the anomaly closely you will see it making rythmic movements, which indicates wing beats. The low flash video compression makes the object look stranger than it would appear on the original video. I remember watching it live on MSNBC and being absolutely astonished by the scope and magnitude of the destruction. It's almost unbelieveable.

I have to agree with the bird theory. That was the first thought I had when I watched this video. What would probably help is if there were additional video to view. I'm sure there would have to be more video that might include another bird (that could be compared to this video).

Thanks for all the feedback on this, and taking the time to review i it.   ;D
I will share your finding with Trish & Rob MacGregor's website:
http://www.synchrosecrets.com/synchrosecrets/ (http://www.synchrosecrets.com/synchrosecrets/), where I first saw it posted. Most people there were believing they were watching a spirit. I told them I'd see if anyone at PPI would give it a look.
It ma be a couple days before I write this note up. I am still wobbly.

Here are a few clips of the same area in Miyagi Prefecture. These clips appears to show the same area being destroyed by the tsunami. The "anomaly" in these videos appears to be spray from compressed air being blown out of structures as they are suddenly submerged by the water. This compressed air "blow out" is also seen in sinking ships as air pockets are violently displaced by water. Spray in this case seems to give the "anomaly" an ethreal quality that some people might interpret as "ghosts". The weird orb that seems to "smear" as it moves across the screen could be a lens flare on the plexiglass enclosure of the helicopter's video camera. It's really difficult to determine the angle of the sun in these clips, but the shadows of the buildings seem to be consistent with the sun being lower in the west, and the tsunmani wave is coming in from the east. Once again, that white object that moves very fast across the surface of the debris flow, and appears to leap from the roof of a floating building as it makes it's way into the rushing water looks like a bird to me, possibly a crane? I'm trying to imagine the scale of the buildings but it's difficult because they are being destroyed so quickly in the video. I don't think an animal the size of a cat or dog could move that quickly, nor would they be light enough to "walk" on the floating debris or make any progress against the rushing water. But a bird could because they are light and they can use their wings to make themselves even lighter. I'm not convinced it's paranormal, but it is interesting to discuss all the possible causes, don't you agree?
