Title: Apparition Captured by Paraquest Paranormal
Post by: PPI Brian on January 26, 2011, 03:38:28 AM
Paraquest Paranormal Investigations captured this anomaly during their investigation of a millhouse in Manchester, England. Did they capture an apparition, or is there a natural explanation for the anomaly?

I don't have any audio on my PC at work, but it seems to me they captured a photo of a bat.

Hi Gary,

If you get a moment, take a look at it on your home computer. Pause the video on the frame with the anomaly. I think a possible explanation will be revealed.  :)

Well, it doesn't look paranormal in the slightest. Is it a cobweb?

After taking a longer look, it looks like an insect flying through the frame just at the right time.

It's hard to make a judgement call of that nature saying it's a bat, or an insect, or even a spider web without seeing the other photos that were taken. If the other photos had that same anamoly in them then yes one could speculate as to what it is or was.  Just have to see the rest of the photos.

Yeah, I agree with Mark; I would like to see the rest of the photos.

It is amazing though, how an insect, spec of dust, moisture or even a strand of hair can look on film.  It can make you think it is something completely different than what it truly is.

I have to say that if I hadn't become a member of this forum and read through the many articles I would have said, "It's a ghost not doubt."  However, that's the complete contrary. In just this short time I've been here and seen the many photos and read the many opinions I've now grown a custom to questioning everything, which is a good thing. Also on that note my mind I am skeptical on some things however, when you've encounter a paranormal event first hand it raises many questions and makes one ask even more.

Thank you for the kind remarks, Mark. I think source of the anomaly is quite obvious in this still image captured from the YouTube video:

If you watch the video closely you will notice the investigators are wearing jackets, which indicates cool ambient temperatures. As they descended into the lower chamber, I became very alarmed because these people are apparently oblivious to the dangers of confined spaces. Chambers such as these have the potential to contain hazardous gasses that are heavier than air, such as carbon dioxide. A gas that's heavier than air displaces breathable air as if it were water. If you descend into such an environment, and it contained a hazardous atmosphere, you wouldn't realize it until it's too late. You could be breathing "air" that is deficient in oxygen and  you wouldn't know it. In a best case scenario, you might get paranoid and light headed, and if you kept your wits you might be able to escape with your life. In a worst case scenario, you would just pass out and slowly suffocate. Anyone who tried to rescue you would also succumb to the oxygen deficient atmosphere. However, in this case, I think they were incredibly lucky, and the only thing they photographed was a cloud of steam created by their own exhaled breath.  ;D
