It's one of the most expensive and technologically-complex machines in the world, but that didn't prevent the Large Hadron Collider from coming a cropper thanks to our feathered friends.
The ?4.4 billion 'God Machine' overheated after a passing bird dropped a piece of bread into a high voltage installation which was powering a cooling unit. My questions is, who built this thing near birds?

Hmmm. Peculiar. There's so much suspicion and protest over the collider that it wouldn't surprise me to find out this is an act of outright sabotage . . . by people, of course, not birds. P^/
Can't trust them birds...

And wasn't that beautiful day? The sun was out....the birds were attacking. People running for their lives. What more could you ask for? P^/
