Title: Haunted Train Station Reopens
Post by: PPI Brian on September 30, 2009, 09:12:55 PM
Abandoned for 42 years because of fears that it was haunted, the train station at Begunkodor, 161 miles from the state capital, Calcutta, has been reopened. It was said to be frequented by a female phantom dressed in a white sari. Did employees cook up the ghost story to avoid a posting at the remote station?

Are there any railway stations in southern California believed to be Haunted?
And don't say the trolley stop at commercial and 32nd st. It is not haunted, it is just scary to be there at night. :o

Well, we investigated the allegedly haunted La Habra Depot Theatre a couple of years back, which is across the street from the former La Habra Station.  The story is that a little girl killed by a car outside the station is currently occupying the theatre, particularly the later-model Amtrak car that was acquired and re-purposed as a makeup and costume room.  I've always wanted to go back, quite literally to debunk (i.e., defraud) the evidence we collected because I'm almost certain we were set up.  There were so many Class A and B EVPs that actually sounded more like Push-To-Talk communication, I've never been able to cast off my suspicions about the place.

Haunted, though?  Dunno.   :)

I would really enjoy doing an investigation at a train station. Even better...the train museum in Perris. Lots of old trains and trolleys there outside on track and  housed in big buildings. Pretty neat place to visit if you're into trains in general. :)
