Title: Another "Ghost" Caught on CCTV
Post by: PPI Brian on June 09, 2009, 08:19:45 PM
Twister's restaurant in Williams Arizona made the news recently when they reported a white translucent image seen moving around the restaurant on their CCTV system. Here's a link to the video:

You know how I am:  I'm usually quick to dismiss these surveillance cam ghosts as a product of lazy investigation and poor critical thinking.  However, the one very interesting thing about the footage in this case is that the anomaly seems to navigate its way through and around some of the physical features of the room, namely that doorway at the back, on the right.  If it were an insect close to the camera, we'd see the anomaly move across just one plane in front of room's features, not through and around them.  However, it's also possible that the white wall to the right creates an illusion of the anomaly traversing behind it rather than in front of it.

Same evasive conclusion, though, that all news stories of its ilk use:  "Who knows?  Maybe it's possible.  Perhaps the truth is out there!"  [Cue the anchor's lame X-Files segue.]  Then the true agenda reveals itself: to put viewers in a receptive mood for the commercial break that immediately follows.   P^/

Pretty cool. I'm very skeptic of these kinds of things (and as Karl said, i usually attribute them to bugs on the lens). But this one is much more interesting. Thanks for the post Johnny.

In any case, I liked the news footage. I love to see open minded people discussing their views on the whole thing.

I wish I worked there! I would totally stay late and close up shop so I could see if I encountered anything. Hehe.
