Post by: PPI Tim on April 09, 2009, 12:54:26 AM
From the book "666 absolutely true stories that happened to a friend...of a friend...of a friend" is a story that might make you thiink twice about stopping for something in the road. >:]

A young woman was driving home in her 4x4 one evening when she saw the of a man lying in the road up ahead of her. She slowed down, but realizing that this was a ploy carjackers often used, she decided to play it safe. She drove off the road, through the underbrush, and then returned to the highway again.
"Of course," she thought to herself, "it might actually be someone who needs help." To be on the safe side, she drove to the nearest police station and reported the incident.
When the cops got to the scene, there was no body lying in the road.
There were, however, the bodies of four armed men lying in the underbrush.
The woman had driven over them when she made her detour.
