Title: Room Vibes (Feng Shui)
Post by: PPI Tim on August 19, 2008, 02:59:07 AM
Hey Guys,
I was wondering about something.
Can the way that furniture is positioned in a room and the types of objects in a room
affect paranormal activity in the room?

Excellent topic, Tim.

I have noticed a few paranormal groups around the world actually use Feng Shui when dealing with negative non-human entity infestations. They claim that changing the "energy" in a room can help restore balance and peace of mind after a particularly upsetting paranormal experience.

Here's a website from Moonslipper.com that claims to have "Real Solutions for Ghosts and Paranormal Phenomena": http://www.moonslipper.com/index.html

Cool website Brian M.
Does any of the Big Paranormal Investigating groups like TAPS take Feng Shui into consideration?
I believe that there is something to it.
What say you?

I think it's worth pusuing. In fact, in certain circumstances people have reported success in reducing or eliminating paranormal activity in a residence by changing the energy in the home.

Tim,
We don't do it.  I wish we did. It would be a great idea to try out.  I was talking with Brian M. about this and I totally believe in Feng Shui.

Have you ever been around someone who you just got bad vibes from or thought was evil or dangerous in some way?  It's that sixth sense that is telling you that something is wrong?  Or how about if your home is cluttered?  How does it make you feel inside?  I think that our surroundings, be it people and the way they act or the vibe they give off, or the physical environment and how it looks, completely effects us.  How does it make you feel when you've rearrainged your lving room or bedroom to be more workable or to make more space?  It usually makes you feel great (that's before the backache starts..).  So I would think it stands to reason that changing the environment will absolutley effect us, foster change and attitude.

I don't think that it would hurt to make recomendations to a client.
If they are experiencing paranormal activity they interferes with thier peace of mind, I see this as a suggestion.
I never heard anyone say that cleaning your house is a bad thing.
Feng Shui is merely name for something one does in and around thier house that makes them and thier visitors feel at ease.
It also provides ways to be safe and protected in your house.
What is so bad about that?

Exactly. Nothing is bad about it at all.

While I agree there's nothing wrong with it, many people are pretty closed minded when it comes to Eastern ways. If you go and mention Fung Shui to someone, I think they're more likely to give you a strange look.

So true, Feng Shui has been used for centuries in the asian cultures as ways to direct the flow of positive and negative energy, to architect palaces, homes and apartments, etc..., it's still commonly used today by interior designers and architects as a method of creating interesting flow of light and energy to their designs

I think because its roots is based on a natural and harmonic way to flow with your environment its caught on more lately, will it help with that migraine you get every night if you put a mirror opposite your window about 3 feet from the ground? I don't know but some people think it seems to work while others are skeptical.

Hey Tim,

I was doing some research on this topic recently and thought this thread deserved to be resurrected. Found this thread about people with serious hoarding issues and thought it was worth sharing:

Holy Crap!
Let it go!
Bad Feng Shui.

I think that's the point; they cannot let anything go. They develop sentimental attachments to every scrap of paper, every butter dish, every article of clothing. It hurts too much to get rid of anything, so they just keep everything. After a while it becomes so overwhelming they couldn't clean it up even if they wanted to. The "stuff" becomes a "presence", and exerts control over their lives. It becomes powerful and they become powerless to take any action to correct it without intervention.

It makes me wonder if this could be a symptom of not only a type of cognitive disorder, but a symptom of possible paranormal "infestation". If "stuff" can take on a "presence" powerful enough to drain the energy from those who suffer from hoarding, is there a possibility that it could evolve into a full fledged thought form?

I just began watching the videos and this is one of the most interesting things I've seen in a while. Thanks for posting the videos.

EDIT: I couldn't believe someone would hoard their own feces for years. Yuck!

Hi Johnny,

Yes, it's incredibly sad. Some people just can't let go of anything. PPI has had more than a few cases that were in the homes of hoarders. Thankfully they weren't as bad as the ones in these clips. Karl wrote an article about this topic called The Big Scary Mess that will be included on our new website, which we hope to launch within the next couple of weeks.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Brian
