Title: Inputs on EVPs posted on the website.
Post by: MichaelF (FPIE) on February 29, 2008, 03:31:57 AM
Hello,
I was listening to the EVPs you have posted under evidence, and wanted to give some input to some of them.  I am hardly an expert, however, being an ST in the Navy, I am used to listening for sounds.  Also keep in mind this was over my computer speakers.

"Tea Cup": If you listen very closely after what sounds like the "Tea Cup" there is a something else really faint.  It sounds like 2 words then a small pause then another.  Instead of "Tea Cup," would "He come to play?" fit the situation?

"Open for Discussion": This is the one where he says that the boy does not want to play with you....  You can pretty clearly hear "_____ not to keep."  The first word could be "but," which would be "but not to keep."  Almost don't want to mention it, but that first word also sounds like "hunt," for "hunt not to keep."  The first word ends in a "t" though.

"Pray":  Two schools of thought on this one.  One is troublesome, if it actually does say "pray," what if it is actually "prey?"  That coupled with the Hunt above concerns me.  However, I don't think it actually is either.  It's a two syllable word.  It could be "maybe" or "byebye."  Both would fit the question.

"Cathy or Cassy":  Sounded like an "S" in there to me.  So maybe "Cassy" or even possibly "Can't see?"

"F you": I'm hearing at LEAST 3 syllables. With maybe another word or syllable at the begining that you can't make out.  Camera seems pretty solid at the end.  First could be the "watch," or even maybe "not on".

"unknown":  This is the one with the female voice by the cough.  Sounds like "it's amazing" to me.

Just an Amateur ear after a quick llisten.  Maybe I need better audio equipment.

Michael

WOW Michael, thank you so much for your input. We love it when we get outside opinions on the evidence we capture.

That's pretty cool, Michael. Great input.  Thanks for going to all the trouble.  You weren't a Crypto Tech, were you?

No, I'm a Sonar Technician, been in for 17 years.  Three more years to go, luckily I'll be chilling here in San Diego.

Yep, sure did.  Was about 12 years ago though.  Been lucky enough to travel pretty much all over the world, oddly enough I never actually got to Europe though, which is a shame, because I would love to visit some of the old castles there and such.  You military as well?

So what do you think of my interpretations of those EVP's?  I think I am going to buy myself a good headset, vice using my computer speakers.  Just got myself a new recorder as well, hoping to find some good palces to "visit" in the area.

I found your site recently and listened to the evps. The one " open for disscussion" sounded, to me, as if to say " what about the key" The other one titled "tea cup" sounded as if to say "Be up, please."
