The Kendrick House in Carthage, MO, was built prior to the Civil War. That fact alone may lead someone to think the place could have spirits still walking its halls. Those spirits do exist, according to the Branson Paranormal Research Society (BPRS). Do BPRS investigators have proof of ghosts at the Kendrick House?

i'm a little confused with the whole story, but it seems like an interesting location... if I were the spirit, I'd wouldn't try to communicate with that group anymore...  left a musket ball in an investigator's car and still no "haunted" title?!?  ;D    just bein' silly.

A townhouse project in Virginia has called RIP for assistance after residents in the new development began to experience "a dark, shadowy figure moving through the walls, strange noises, and objects being moved."

The investigators of Haunted Earth visit St. Nicholas Church in Canewdon, Essex, England, in search of the background that produced local lore linking the church to witchcraft and pagan rituals. Here's a link to the article:

The Other Side of Truth: Ghost Investigating

Paul Kimball reports the mysterious happenings he and co-host Holly Stevens experienced while filming an episode of their ghost investigation television series. Kimball and Stevens visited the old jail in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada, checking out claims the spirit of a Royal Air Force sergeant, hanged in 1942, still occupied the cell where he was kept before his sentence was carried out. Did Kimball and Stevens have an encounter with the spirit of Sergeant Tom Hutchings, the last person executed at St. Andrews?

Cool article Brian M.
I don't know if I would investigate with a noose around my neck.
Sounds interesting...Go on.

Hoosier State Paranormal Group is trying to figure out what makes a book donated to Asbury University in the early part of the 19th century haunted. Asbury University is now DePauw University, and that's where the book of poetry donated by Governor Whitcomb is kept locked up in the Archives and Special Collections of Roy West Library. What's the story behind The Poems of Ossian, The Son of Fingal?

The Bangor Ghost Hunters based in Stephen King's home town of Bangor, Maine recently conducted an investigation of a private residence. Here's a link to the article:

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the death of former Slippery Rock University trustee and theater supporter Emma Guffey Miller. Many think the apparition seen by teachers and students at the Pennsylvania school's theater and North Hall residential building is the spirit of the deceased friend of the university. Plans are afoot to research the appearances of the ghost they call "Emma".

Local to me in Santa Barbara but thought I would add it here none-the-less

There's quite a lot of evidence of a ghost in the house. One story involves a night when the family totally cleaned off the kitchen table before bed, only to find a missing diamond earring, and a missing $500 lottery ticket on the table in the morning. There is another story of an eye-witness report by a woman driving by the house who saw a man wearing a white shirt with pearl buttons and a coat, appear in the road...

Thanks for this post. I vote for a road trip. Yeah it would be a long drive for our group, but we've driven further and we can recovery the cost of gas we spend driving there with the lottery tickets we find  :)
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

LOL  ;D  A couple of winning lottery tickets would make the trip quite profitable.

The Paranormal Research Society of Casper, a Wyoming group dedicated to investigations of high strangeness, has been called in to see what, if anything, is behind some very abnormal occurrences at the Fort Caspar Museum. Is the site of the frontier fort haunted?

I'm down with that.   Brinkeroff... the old Chad's Restaurant building has some interesting stories too.. It's empty now but the owners claim hearing cows. The restaurant was once a butchery and meat packing shop back in the days. Would be an interesting EVP investigation. :)

Maybe that place is just holding on to old energy.. hence the cow's moos being audible? Sounds neat. I'm gonna google the heck outta this one.

As in "Fox Network"?

No, Ellie.  I haven't seen it.  (Is it on YouTube by any chance?)  What did you think?
If you want to end your misery, start enjoying it, because there's nothing the universe begrudges more than our enjoyment.

PPI Brian

Hi Ellie,

I haven't seen it either. I've been overwhelmed by work. Is it available online?

The Black River Historical Society in Ohio has called on paranormal investigators, because the society thinks the stately home that serves as the society's headquarters is haunted. Who's spirit roams the halls of the Moore House?

Cool.  This is my favorite part of the article:

"Apparently, the  :-\Trans Atlantic Paranormal Society  :-\, which "Ghost Hunters" fans will know as T.A.P.S., found some things, mostly at the jail and on its grounds".

Journalism at it's finest.  ::|

PPI Brian

That was my favorite part too.  ;D  Guess TAPS isn't a household word after all... at least in Virginia.  :)
